Seed Batch 1: Germination Day 4

Posted on March 04, 2012 | 0 comments
Watching seedlings emerge from the soil is one of my absolute favorite things. They are tiny and fragile, yet their desire to live is so strong. These little sprouts are a reminder of what I came from, what we all come from, and how a nourishing environment can help us grow into our full, unique, and beautiful potential. This year I decided to start seedlings with a peat pellet germination kit. In just 4 days the results are amazing. The calendula and thyme seeds have begun to sprout are doing well:
Aaron bought materials to build a large cold frame to transfer these into when they're established enough. Up next in batch 2 will be marshmallow and echinacea. The last frost will have passed after March 23, and there's a lot of work to be done before then. I'm so excited about this year's additions to our herb garden!
