I hope you all had a nice weekend and are enjoying the spring season so far.
Here in the Pacific Northwest we're struggling against being completely overtaken by moss and probably feeling a bit "over it" with the incessant rain -- but wow! Our springs are something to behold. The innumerable shades, textures, and layers of green... and the canopies of delicate white and pink tree blossoms lining nearly every street.
How has this new year of 2022 been treating you so far? Did you feel motivated to make any resolutions or set some goals for the coming year?
As I write this newsletter we're in the last stretch of the winter season. It's a time that some of us here in Portland refer to as "Second Winter" or "Fool's Spring", because the weather will start to feel a bit balmy (just enough to get us excited about spending time outdoors) and then turns bitter cold again! Some years if we get snow at all, this is when it comes-- so it's important not to jump the gun on seed starting or get overzealous with garden chores yet. 😅
But nevertheless, the stirrings of spring are here, even if they're deep below the surface. I can certainly feel those energies arising within myself-- can you??
It feels like hope. A promise of brighter days to come.
